Fond memories – Part 2

I launched my Tong Ren healing mp3 online store last April. Yes, I am proud of myself 🙂  Not only I managed to find a way of recording the healing Tong Ren energy, so that it’s available every time someone plays the mp3, but this type of online store is a new adventure for me. I used Selz as a selling tool, but the graphics, descriptions, design, and contents are mine. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it!

Each Tong Ren mp3 in the store has a different purpose. I started out with the Yummy Overall Tune-Up, and then chose topics which interested me, and/or could be beneficial to my cats, and/or are complaints I hear often. such as Eyes Health, Digestive System Health, Muscles and Joints Health, and Breast Health (Anti-Cancer)… More mp3s will be created soon!

I even added some freebies! 🙂

Fond memories – Part 1

Fond memories of my recent trip to Boston to learn Tui Na, to deepen my knowledge of Tong Ren Therapy, and to re-learn that I can just BE my authentic self and don’t need to compete, ever!

I did some quick sightseeing in Boston when I went up to Quincy, MA for my Tong Ren training. Here are some pictures from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and from a small park near the waterfront:

Life change: My awesome Tong Ren training weekend

I attended a Tong Ren training seminar this past weekend, and my life has changed in a big way.

I had been practicing Tong Ren for 5 months now, thanks to books, DVDs, and personal coaching from Eleanor, a Tong Ren practitioner. This seminar in Quincy, MA, however, was my first formal training in this modality.

I was excited to connect in person with Tong Ren people. Yes, we can do a lot online and on the phone nowadays, AND that does not replace actually being there, and seeing how friendly, open, and helpful everybody is. Eleanor was there the second day. and I was very happy to be able to meet her in person. She also introduced me to Tui Na during our lunch break.

The Tam Center for Healing was an open space full of great energy. Tom Tam himself taught the class. In addition to conveying the information in a clear, non-judgmental way, he is friendly, approachable, and funny!

The best part for me happened near the end of the seminar. One of the students was sitting facing the rest of us, and we were all tapping for her. For a few seconds, I was able to sense how we were part of a vast group —which included many, many more beings than the people actually present in the classroom— all united in love and a desire to heal. My heart opened and tears came to my eyes.

Later, as I said goodbye to Eleanor, she told me I was now part of the Tong Ren community. I cried again. Joyfully, and gratefully.

One of my latest finds: Tong Ren

While Tong Ren is not new to the world, it is new to me. I came across this form of therapy earlier this year, and have tried it on myself, my cats, and select friends, and have been amazed by what it can do!

Tong Ren is an energy healing therapy that can alleviate hundreds of conditions, from physical dis-orders — such as diabetes, thyroid problems, food sensitivities, chemo side effects, radiation side effects, and migraines to name a few — to mental/emotional issues — such as anxiety, depression, and stress …etc. It can also be used to improve your overall health, even if you are not experiencing any health problems. Not sure if it covers your condition? Just ask!

An acupuncturist named Tom Tam created Tong Ren over 25 years ago — no needles are used though! This modality is now available in at least 24 US states and more than 15 other countries. As explained on the What is Tong Ren? Web page:

“Developed by Tom Tam, and an integral part of the Tom Tam Healing System, Tong Ren is a form of energy therapy for restoring health and vitality. Tong Ren is based on the belief that disease is related to interruptions, or blockages, in the body’s natural flow of chi, neural bioelectricity, blood, or hormones… Tong Ren Therapy utilizes the concept of the collective unconsciousness to remove these blockages, restoring the body’s natural ability to heal itself, even when illnesses are chronic, debilitating, or otherwise untreatable.”

“Tong Ren combines western knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the ancient principle of ‘chi,’ or life force energy, to create what many consider to be a powerful new healing modality… Tong Ren is often practiced as distance healing.”

“In a typical therapy session, the Tong Ren practitioner uses a small human anatomical model as an energetic representation of the patient, tapping on targeted points on the model with a lightweight magnetic hammer. The practitioner directs chi to blockage points corresponding to the patient’s condition, breaking down resistance at these points. As blood flow, neural transmission, and hormone reception are restored, the body is then able to heal.”
